The Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) epidemic continues to threaten the health of individuals and communities on a national and international level. This critical issue is largely misunderstood by the people most at risk. Educators and clinicians have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to ensure their students and clients understand both the severity of the risks and their susceptibility to them.
Beacon has an updated online training course- “STDs/STIs- Basic Training for Educators and Clinicians.” The 80-minute course presents current information on eleven STDs, their symptoms and health complications, risks with pregnancy, testing and treatment, and applications for prevention.
"Following a comprehensive evaluation, I am pleased to recommend Beacon Health Education Resources’ new online course, STDs/STIs: Basic Training for Educators and Clinicians. This program provides a systematic and evidence-based overview of prevalent STDs, preparing educators and healthcare professionals with competencies in identification, symptom recognition, current treatment protocols, and preventive strategies. The course serves as a valuable tool for individuals aiming to advance their expertise in STD education and clinical care."
